Joanne Scott has worked with the firm since its inception in 2000 and has been a Partner since 2006.  Joanne has a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Economics majoring in Business Finance and Economics from Macquarie University in 1997.

Joanne’s experience in professional risk and commercial insurance liability is both comprehensive and reputable.  Joanne prides herself on being concise, forward thinking, collaborative and proactive in terms of how claims are handled.

Joanne commenced her career as a solicitor undertaking commercial work which involved a significant amount of drafting and negotiating contracts, and this commercial exposure has been instrumental in the development of her negotiation skills and approach to disputes and litigated claims.  Joanne acts at all times with professionalism, and has earned the respect of her peers including competitors in the insurance litigation market.

Joanne has been involved in a broad range of professional indemnity, industrial special risks and commercial insurance liability matters across varying industries.  Joanne’s diverse areas of expertise include claims involving the following:
