James has practiced law since 1985.  James holds a Master of Laws specialising in Trade Practices and International Transport Law.

As principal of the firm, James has an established client base, with the majority of clients having been with us for many years.  A significant part of James’ practice is in the areas of professional indemnity, marine, industrial special risks and commercial insurance liability.

James has been involved in a wide range of claims involving:

James has extensive experience in providing sound and concise advice to insurer clients on policy wording and coverage, indemnity issues and changes to legislation.

James has also acted for insurers in defending large scale plaintiff litigation arising from catastrophic accidents and has acted in various government inquiries.

Over the years James has developed a reputation within the insurance industry as a leading lawyer and has developed longstanding relationships with his clients.  He is well respected in the insurance industry and regularly presents workshops and seminars to clients and industry bodies.

James also has extensive experience in drafting commercial agreements, terms and conditions of supply, property transactions and all areas of litigation.

James has been a NSW Cancer Council POSH Committee member for 19 years.  He is also the current President of his local community water polo club, Drummoyne Water Polo Club, which has one of the largest junior development programs in the country.
